The singer not only told fans that the single would be officially released on Friday, 1 February 2019, she also announced a new record deal with Afro Rockstar.
Thandwa Ndim will be the title of the song
Soul singer, Amanda Black, announced on social media on Thursday, 31 January 2019, that she was headed to Metro FM to play her brand new single Thandwa Ndim on radio for the first time ever.
The singer visited the station for an interview on the Fresh Breakfast Show hosted by popular radio presenter, DJ Fresh. The Amazulu hit-maker took to social media to ask fans to “tune in for a sneak peak of my new single.”
The singer, whose real name is Amanda Antony, said she wanted the song to inspire women. “My hope and dream for this song is that it heals as many as possible and encourages women in abusive, toxic relationships and situations, and transform our hearts,” Antony wrote in a tweet.
The singer announced that she was releasing the song and surprised her fans as she had not promoted the project prior to her announcement. This is her first musical release since her debut album, Amazulu, was released in 2016. Fans took to Twitter to praise the singer for her new music, with one fan even making suggestions for a possible music video.
Amanda Black also announced that she would be joining a new record label, Afro Rockstar. The singer will also be in partnership with Sony Music. The announcement comes after the singer parted ways with her former label, Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2018.
Amanda Black told fans that the single would be available on all digital platforms on Friday, 1 February 2019.
